Join Dr. Ritu Chopra, Executive Director of the PAR2A Center and Dr. Amy Parker, Interveners and Qualified Personnel Initiative Lead at NCDB to learn more about a national path for recognizing and validating intervener's knowledge and skills in their practice with individuals who are deaf-blind.

They will discuss the National Intervener Certification E-portfolio (NICE) System, an assessment process designed to allow practicing interveners to submit evidence of their knowledge and skills to be evaluated by expert reviewers in the field of deaf-blindness. NICE was created through an innovative partnership between the Paraprofessional Resource and Research Center (PAR2A Center) and National Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB), with support from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).
