September 2018 News!

Family Engagement

Happy September Everyone!

I am excited to share the following with you . . .

Founded in 1993, the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to lead and partner to improve the lives of people with CHARGE syndrome locally, nationally, and internationally through outreach, education, and research. On Friday, September 21, the Foundation will honor the memory of individuals with CHARGE who have passed away with “A Day to Remember.” The Foundation is asking anyone who is interested to perform an act of kindness on that day and share it with the Foundation on social media using the hashtag #adaytoremember. You don’t have to know a person with CHARGE syndrome to participate. Any and all are encouraged to join in this celebration of life. The goal is to spread as much kindness as possible on that day. It could be something as simple as holding the door for someone, dropping off a donation, or giving someone a hug to let them know they are loved. Any kind act counts. The Foundation is grateful for your support.

•To learn more about the Foundation, their upcoming events, and to become a member, visit the Foundation’s website

•Follow the Foundation on their Facebook page

•To participate in “A Day to Remember,” please post a picture and a small blurb on Facebook about the joy you spread with the hashtag #adaytoremember. Social media posts should be posted as “public” or shared on the Foundation’s page.

I hope you will take a moment to spread kindness and learn more about the wonderful things that happen in our community as a result of the work of this organization.

Thanks for sharing this, Megan. "Any kind act counts." We'll share this, too.
