An opportunity to field test new OHOA modules!
Interveners and Qualified Personnel
Last Spring, with the help of several colleagues, we conducted a field test of modules 5-8: Availability for Learning, Understanding Communication Principles, Emergent Communication, and Progressing to Symbolic Communication. Within the field test we had adult learners “take” the modules and give us their feedback. Simultaneously, we also had expert reviewers, who were familiar with online learning environments as well as the intervener practice, evaluate the modules. This feedback was instrumental in refining and clarifying this set of modules. It is with pleasure that we will release this set of improved modules within our library of resources on September 30, 2014.
Once again, we are designing a small field test that will begin October 3, 2014 will last only a few months to test the following three modules that have been created. These include: Routines as a Framework for Assessment and Teaching; Concept Development and Active Learning; and Calendars. If you are a state deaf-blind project staff member or university partner, we invite you to be an expert field reviewer of one of those modules. Not only is your feedback welcome, it may also give you a chance to examine the resource that is being developed to see if the modules may meet some needs within your state or university.
