Creating a Group

NCDB provides groups as a public service on our website. Group work must be directly related to improving systems serving children and youth who are deaf-blind. If you are interested in starting a group, contact the Group Administrator, Gail Leslie, with your request. Be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Name of the proposed group
  • Who the group owner will be
  • Whether the group is planned as a public or private group (private groups may have responsibilities for reporting in public forums about their activities)
  • Description of the work and purpose of the group and its relationship to any of the following audiences:
    • Partners involved in the work of the NCDB Cooperative Agreement or other national partners in the OSEP network
    • Personnel from state deaf-blind projects
    • Personnel from state or local educational agencies
    • Families of children who are deaf-blind
    • Professionals serving children and youth who are deaf-blind
    • Consumers and young adults who are deaf-blind
