NCDB in collaboration with CEC's Division on Visual Impairments and Deafblindness (DVIDB) sponsored this webinar presentation by Marina McCormick, M.Ed., Coordinator of Region 4 Regional Day School Program for the Deaf in Houston, Texas.  Marina McCormick has 16 years of experience in the field of special education as both a teacher of the deaf and as a special education administrator.  She holds a Master’s degree in Multicultural Urban Special Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Education for Persons with Hearing Loss from the Robert E. Cook Honors College of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  In addition, she received her principal certification as part of the Rice Education Entrepreneurship Program (REEP) at Rice University.

This webinar explored one model for systems change that can be applied to a special education issue. Using the example of how their program addressed programming issues for students who are deaf-blind, McCormick will explore a successful application of the model and how it can be applied to identified challenges.  Learn how communication on the importance of the issue and an applied vision can drive the change process.

This webinar is apart of a larger series called NCDB Professional Development Webinar Series: Research in Deaf-Blindness. To see the full list of this and future webinars, click here.
