The Informal Functional Hearing Evaluation (IFHE) can be used to help ascertain the impact of a potential hearing loss on educational functioning for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities, including those who are deaf-blind. It can also serve as a guide for determining accommodations needed in classroom, home, and community environments to promote student access to information.
