Kattia is a graduate of the Boston College Master's Degree program in Deafblind Education. She works in Massachusetts and Connecticut with families and educational teams regarding effective instructional practices for learners who have combined vision and hearing loss. Formerly – she was a teacher in the Deafblind Program at Perkins School for the Blind and has extensive expertise in developing language/communication programs. She is also available to provide technical assistance to districts serving children who have combined vision and hearing loss (deafblindness). She currently travels to programs and schools as needed, and connects with teams via video conference and face-to-face meetings. The emphasis of her work is focused on helping educational teams address the needs of children who have combined vision and hearing loss, working on assessment and effective interventions.
