I have been a trained intervener in the state of Minnesota for about 10 years. I currently work with a 3-year-old girl with CHARGE syndrome at school and a 15-year-old young woman who has Usher Syndrome and autism in the community.
I was honored to be asked to participate in the beta testing for the development of the NICE system and will be pursing national certification. Participation in the OHOA modules is a convenient way to continue to learn about the process of intervention and improve my skills as an intervener. I hope to be able to apply what I am learning to the students that I work with.
