As parents we have found a lot of inspiration in the Pro-Tactile movement initiated and led by DeafBlind activists. We believe that Pro-Tactile American Sign Language is the most accessible language for the majority of DeafBlind kids; the use of tactile language is an essential component of total communication. Check out this vlog by aj granada and Jelica Nuccio to learn more about Pro-Tactile: http://www.protactile.org/. There is also a Facebook group called "DeafBlind Autonomy" where you can connect with DeafBlind adults.
