Linda McDowell

Dr. Linda McDowell has master’s and doctoral degrees in special education and extensive experience in education and community services for individuals with disabilities, including 12 years of classroom instruction (four with transition-age students with severe disabilities, including deaf-blindness). For the past 19 years, she has been a project director for federally-funded technical assistance and personnel preparation projects in deaf-blindness and state-funded model demonstration and training projects. She has been the Executive Director of NCDB for the past 4 years. As an NCDB co-director she oversees several initiatives, the Information Services and Technology personnel in Oregon, relationships with national partners, and NCDB’s professional development activities.
