Supporting Availability for Learning for Students with CVI and Significant Cognitive Disabilities

This session provides an overview of the impact of cortical visual impairment and multiple disabilities on availability for learning, and an updated approach to biobehavioral assessment and intervention for children and youth who require additional supports to increase their availability for learning.  A new assessment tool created by the presenter based on a review of research across fields, Assessment of Biobehavioral States: Supporting Availability for Learning for Students with Multiple Disabilities including DeafBlindness & Profound Intellectual & Multiple Disabilities will be shared with participants.
