Wrap-Up
Takeaway
In this module you learned about the role of the intervener in educational settings. For students, interveners play an important role in developing trusting relationships, offering greater access to environmental information, and supporting communication development. Interveners also help students connect with others in the environment, including peers and educational team members. For teams, interveners provide valuable information for planning students' educational programs. An intervener works under the direction of and in partnership with a teacher and incorporates input from multiple team members in supporting a student's access to the environment, learning materials, and communication with people at school.
